This workshop is for parents and children. It starts off with parents and children learning together. Then they branch off into two separate groups. The parents will learn tools and strategies on how to educate kids about:

• where money comes from,

• ATMs and bank accounts,

• savings,

• smart spending,

• donating

• the difference between needs and wants, etc.

The children will leave the workshop with understanding that money does not grow on trees and neither it miraculously appears in an ATM or bank account just because parents own a bank card. They will understand the difference between needs and wants, as well as a bank is and a bank account. The children will play educational games and learn how advertising impacts our wants and makes us believe that they are needs.
